34th Annual HP Juneteenth Parade and Festival

The Hamilton Park Historic Preservation Foundation (HPHPF), HP Next Generation Leaders, ALLinD10, and the Dallas Parks Department invite you to the 34th Annual HP Juneteenth Parade and Festival on Saturday, June 22, 2019, from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Willie B. Johnson Recreation Center.

The Juneteenth Parade and Festival will feature guest speakers, entertainment, educational displays, arts, vendor market, health screenings, food, fellowship, youth panel discussion, kids activity zone, dominoes, and more!

Bring your entire family, blankets, and lawn chairs. Free In-N-Out burgers!

This is a FREE family event, but please register by June 5th.

Juneteenth Parade Participants

The Park has been invited to participate in the 34th Annual HP Juneteenth Parade. We need our church family to sign up and participate! We need fancy cars, walkers, or whatever you can provide.

Juneteenth Tradition

On the 19th of June millions of people around the world celebrate Juneteenth, slaves started this tradition as a remembrance to never forget the day Texas freed their slaves, which was 1865, two and a half years after they were ordered to free them.
