Special Days Ministry would like to invite everyone to join us THIS SUNDAY, February 26, 2023, immediately following service in the Christian Life Center for a Celebration of Black History. Our theme is “Black Resistance Makes for Black Resilience.” Black resistance was essential to the long Civil Rights Movement — it took resistance to hold onto our humanity in the face of inhumane conditions like Jim Crow segregation, discrimination, police brutality, racism, sexism, poverty, and denial of human rights in America. As history has shown us, it is one of the most reliant acts demonstrated in generating change.

We will reflect on the past and future Civil Rights movements as we strive for equality. In addition to Black Resistance, we must celebrate Black Resilience by paying tribute to the contributions, achievements, and impact of Black Heritage and culture! This Black History Program along with a panel for Q&A will help us with a deeper appreciation of Black Pride by treasuring our history and heroism as African Americans throughout oppression. There are brighter days ahead!

We look forward to seeing your attendance.
