July 1, 2021, marks Rev. Dr. Sheron C. Patterson’s fifth Anniversary at Hamilton Park United Methodist Church. We know Rev. Patterson to be an innovator and a risk-taker who stands on the frontline. She is a collaborative connector who has linked the congregation with other churches and community services (COVID-19 Testing, Vaccinations, and Grab & Go Feedings). Rev. Patterson is also a creative visionary who consistently capitalizes on opportunities she feels will help others. Due to the murder of George Floyd, an explosion of protest erupted in the Dallas area. She knew that the membership was not going to march in the streets, so she brought the action to the church in the form of a Zoom meeting with the former Dallas Police Chief, Renee Hall. In addition to the meeting with Chief Hall, Rev. Patterson instituted two Zoom mental wellness seminars because of COVID-19, social unrest and social injustice. These are but a few of Rev. Patterson’s accomplishments and as we move forward in 2021, we look forward to more! Please join with SPPRC in honoring our Senior Pastor, Rev. Dr. Sheron C.
