Congratulations to Destiny Nwoko who graduated Magna Cum Laude from Texas Tech University!
In addition to studying during her 2.5 years at Texas Tech, Destiny has served as the Outreach and Social Media Coordinator of her church in Lubbock. She is returning to Dallas to attend the Texas Tech School of Nursing and begin serving as a volunteer Co-Coordinator of Outreach and Social Media for our newest Young Adult Group at Hamilton Park UMC. (ages 18-25). While at Texas Tech, Destiny worked in The Teaching, Learning and Professional Development Center with Dr. Kenneth Griffith who is the brother of Kathy Griffith. Destiny made quite a positive impression on everyone at Tech. When commenting about Destiny, Dr. Griffith wrote, “She (Destiny) is a sweet kid. She is a product of your work at Hamilton Park. Please let your pastor know that we appreciate what y’all are doing there and to please send ALL Hamilton Park kids to us!!! On Wednesday, Dr. Griffith added, “We just had a little “send off” for Miss Destiny. She’s in your zone again! We will all miss her dearly.”
As a special note, just last week, Destiny wrote a lovely letter and recommended Dr. Griffith for the Texas Tech University President’s Excellence in Teaching Award.
