Education for the Community

Tackling the public health crisis of Alzheimer’s disease depends not only on scientific research, but also on educating communities about brain health across the lifespan. With over 6 million Americans living with Alzheimer’s disease, and over 11 million loved ones providing unpaid care, most everyone has some connection to the disease — or certainly know someone who does.

Perhaps you are a caregiver seeking to increase your caregiving skills and confidence, or a friend wanting to understand how to support a neighbor living with the disease, or a life-long learner looking to expand your personal knowledge. By increasing community awareness about brain health, we might help to shift mindsets and reduce stigmas and myths surrounding this disease.
