Warming Communities One Coat at a Time

Hamilton Park UMC is collecting coats for homeless adults to share with the homeless. Please bring your coat donations to the CLC after church Sunday, January 28, 2018. The Valder Beebe Show will be a vehicle for getting coats directly to those in need.

Earlier this month, on one of the coldest nights in Texas history, a 62-year-old woman froze to death sleeping at a shielded public bus stop wearing a jacket with a blanket covering her legs. Due to past safety concerns sleeping in a shelter, she felt safer on the streets but fell victim to the elements. She was discovered the next morning by her peers.

God spoke to Valder’s heart and told her, “No woman should die from not have a coat.”

Thank you for sharing your blessings with others.
