A Season of Release
Church Family,
God is up to something here at The Park! The month of July brought us high numbers of worshipers and several new members!! Can you say Amen to that?
Under the leadership of the Holy Spirit, I am launching an August series on Release. Specifically, we must release negative spirits and attitudes. If we are going to be the church we need to be, we need to clean house. I don’t mean just clean things on the surface. I don’t mean just clean up the things that are showing. I mean we need to clean up all the mess and all the dirt … even the stuff that’s hidden from plain sight. The mess and the dirt in our lives end up enslaving us, and it keeps us from being all that we were created to be.
The sermons will target hate, gossip, judging and bitterness. All these come from spirits that must be released and removed. This means that we are engaging in spiritual warfare. Demonic spirits desire to enter, disrupt, cause confusion, inhabit, and multiply in people as well as places. They do this when there is a legal right given to them. A legal right is simply a way of saying that a person has authorized the demon to operate in their lives. A good example of this is Ephesians 4:27 “… and do not give the devil an opportunity.”
Since Jesus died on the cross for us, we now understand that the Holy Spirit dwells within us. Therefore as we sweep the church clean, please ask God to sweep any uncleanliness from you.
Toward that end, a Release prayer calendar has been created to engage the entire church in releasing negativity.
Yes, God is up to something, and it is amazing!!!
