A Journey to Bethlehem

Children of the Park and Ignite Youth will present their annual Christmas pageant, “A Journey to Bethlehem.”
Children and Youth will need to meet Ms. Kathy in the Library at 9:15 a.m. to receive their costumes and rehearse.
Ignite Youth will join “One Voice” to sing the Christmas Carols during the pageant. For more information about how your child can participate, please contact Kathy Griffith at kgriffith@theparkumc.org.
A Morning in Bethlehem

Children and Youth will enjoy “A Morning in Bethlehem.” Beginning at 10:00 a.m., we will rotate through 3 different settings, beginning with the telling of the Christmas Story, shared by one of the Three Wise Men.
After hearing the Christmas Story, we will make bird feeders to care for God’s smallest creatures.
Finally, Children and Youth will enjoy hot cocoa and decorate Christmas cookies where they will make one to enjoy and one to share. We look forward to seeing all our Children and Youth for this fun and meaningful morning.
Confirmation Class 2023
Begins January 22, 2023
10:00 a.m.
Room 202
Confirmation classes begin on January 22, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. in Room 202. Children who are 6th grade or higher and ages 12 years and up are encouraged to participate in Confirmation 2023.
Classes will be held each Sunday (except Easter) and will be taught by Min. Porsche Griffin and Ms.
Victoria Nance.
Special Note: We will welcome the Arapaho UMC Confirmation Class to HPUMC on January 15 and we will be traveling to worship with Arapaho UMC on January 29.

Midwinter 2023
February 10-12, 2023
Bridgeport Conference and Retreat Center
Confirmation Students and Ignite Youth are invited to attend the Midwinter 2023 Retreat at Bridgeport Conference and Retreat Center. The theme this year is “Created and Made Purposefully.”
The cost is $115 for regular registration (ends January 16, 2023) and $135 for late registration (January 17-27, 2023).
Background check and MinistrySafe are required for those over 18 years who attend.
