We are Christians under construction and our building is just like us!
Church family, much of our church is under construction. From the outside looking in, you would never know. The damage inflicted by the burst water pipes was extensive and will be repaired. Repair in our church means ripping up ruined carpet and removing wet sheet-rock. Brand new items will replace the water stained items. This is all good news.
Our building’s situation is a reflection of what is happening to us as well. We are under construction. From the outside looking in, many would never know that God is at work on us either. It is no coincidence that this inner work is happening during the Lenten season. This is the time to reflect on the state of our faith and ask God to shore us up.
I pray that you will not allow the Lenten season to pass you by without getting involved in our church-wide events. They are: Thursday Night Zoom Devotion, Daily Lenten Prayer Chart, and a Fasting Plan. Please note that during Holy Week (March 28-April 2), I will lead a 7:00 a.m. prayer on Facebook for the church. Please make plans to take part. And we will have a virtual Good Friday Seven Last Words worship service that features our preaching team and members.
