Dwight Vincent Harry, Sr. was born in New Orleans, Louisiana, to Thelma and Leroy Harry. He graduated from Benton High School in Benton, Louisiana. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Southern University A&M College in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He also received a Master of Business Administration in Engineering Management from the University of Dallas in Irving, Texas.

Dwight is certified in Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) V3 Foundation for IT service management best practices life cycle. He has been published in the industry magazine Project Management Institute and advertised in Forbes Magazine for his white paper on the “The Global Project Office.” He has delivered IT solutions across the United States, South America, Barbados, India, and Hong Kong. He is a featured speaker at IT conferences and workshops.

Dwight is married to Cynthia Randall, also a Southern University graduate in Mechanical Engineering with a Master’s Degree from Ohio State University in Engineering and they live in Garland, Texas. They have two children — Dwight Vincent Harry, II (a graduate of Morehouse College and Missouri University of Science & Technology), and Camille Marie Harry (a graduate of Prairie View A&M University). Dwight and Cynthia have been married 37 years.

He joined Hamilton Park UMC in July, 1982 under the leadership of Rev. Dr. Henry Masters. At Hamilton Park UMC, Dwight has served as President of the United Methodist Men, Chairman of Eiland Collins Foundation, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, and Chairman of the Church Council. He sang in the I.B. Foote Crusaders choir until his travel schedule became untenable. He has served on the HPUMC Worship, Finance, Outreach, Age Level and Witness Ministries. Dwight also served on the UMC North Texas Conference Board of Trustees. Dwight is a member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., and is a Certified Lay Minister in the United Methodist Church.
