Our nation is burning from coast to coast with rage. The anger is more than the murder of George Floyd, but decades of racial oppression. The Dallas riots, like those across America include looting, burning and destruction, which we denounce.
As your pastor, I want to hear your thoughts, and I want you to hear mine. I am providing city wide leadership on this topic. Please see the photos of your pastor in action! I asked for calm at the Dallas Mayor and Police Chief’s press conference on Saturday, and was interviewed on WB33 this am. FYI, I am scheduled for another interview on Fox4 between 7:30-8:30 a.m. tomorrow, June 2, 2020. Please tune in.
My question for my church family is “Can we rise above the rage?”
I am inviting members of Hamilton Park UMC only, to a Church-Wide Zoom conference on Tuesday, June 2, 2020 from 7:00 p.m – 8:00 p.m. For those uncomfortable with Zoom or without internet, Zoom provides a phone in method.
