Marcus Jones is a native of Dallas, Texas, and proud alum of Huston-Tillotson University. He has a B.A. in Business Management and a Master of Divinity in Black Church Studies from Perkins School of Theology at SMU.
He is a published writer, his most recent book titled Christ the Yard: A Guide to Christian Living and Ministry on the College Campus. His intense writing catalog contains articles relating to Church, pop culture, Christianity, religion, and hip-hop. His focus is helping people see the healthy balance between religious and secular engagement in hip-hop and arts. An avid reader, and when he is not reading books, he is writing for his blog, The Informed Scholar.
While all of these things are great, there is nothing he is prouder of than being a father to his two sons, and a dedicated and faithful husband to his wife. His life goal is to become a bridge of love and information, leading and guiding people from one side to the other as they cross his path!
