What does the role of Minister of Music function?

I believe that the Minister of Music has a responsibility to the members of each choir, dance, mime, and drama to provide opportunities to share their gifts and love of the arts during worship services and other opportunities with a greater sense of purpose. While music, dance, and drama are considered performance-based activities, it is the role of the Minister of Music to ensure that all of the aggregations perform to the absolute best of their abilities for the glory of God. Members of the different ministry groups should desire to inspire the congregation to participate throughout the worship experience. My motto is: We give God our best because He gave us His best through the sacrifice of His Son, Jesus Christ.

What should we expect from you?

It is my prayer that God uses me as a vessel to teach, lead, and inspire others to approach every worship experience as an opportunity to show and tell God how much we love Him, just because He’s God. Through the use of various styles and genres, I seek to provide a well-rounded Music and Arts offering weekly. Hamilton Park UMC has a wonderfully diverse membership. The Music and Arts Ministry has to reflect this diversity. When people come to worship with us, I want them to leave inspired to continue living a worshipful lifestyle.
