2018 Confirmation Class strengthens their faith at Confirmation retreat
Participants from our 2018 Confirmation Class enjoyed an amazing weekend at Bridgeport Confirmation Connection. During our weekend, we learned about “What it means to be Methodist,” as well as “What is Theology,” “The Sacraments,” “Sin, Salvation and Grace” and “More about the Bible.” We attended early worship at the Cross on the Hill at 8:00 a.m. each morning, followed by great times of learning, discussion and fellowship.
We sat together to share some great ideas about Hamilton Park and what it means to be a part of our church and the body of Christ. After a wonderful day, we shared Communion in the pavilion near the lake, then had some time of fun by the campfire, making s’mores.
Last Sunday, we began our class at The Park by learning more about each other and our prayers for Confirmation.
We look forward to attending the MidWinter Retreat at Bridgeport as well as the Bishop’s Rally on February 18, 2018. We will be visiting various churches to learn more about different worship styles as well as participating in a group service project.
