Worship Celebration with a Taste of Africa
Hamilton Park UMC celebrated Afro Park Sunday on February 4, 2018. Many attendees dressed in African attire.
Members of the Afro Park Community streamed down the main aisle to an African beat. This was a part of their Thanksgiving ceremony.
After proceeding into the Sanctuary, they made presentations to the congregation. Dr. Patterson, senior pastor, was presented with an Igbo Bible. It was signed by all the Afro Park members. The Bible will be on display in the church’s Library.
Brother Noel Nwoke served as Master of Ceremony for the Afro Park celebration. The Imani Choir donned African attire for the festive Afro Park celebration.
After Worship Service, the Afro Park members treated everyone to a feast of African food.
