August 27, 2017: Reset Was A Success!

Pastor's Update

Church Family, I am happy to report that the Reset event, held in May 2017, has completed its mission. The goal of Reset was to give members of The Park a safe place to share their concerns. Some 80 people, of varied ages, took part.

At a recent meeting, we reviewed their concerns. It was the consensus of the group that most of the concerns had been addressed during the month-long series on release, and by changes made during my tenure as Senior Pastor. Those concerns that have not yet been addressed have been noted and will be handled in the upcoming months. I want to thank all persons involved with Reset for their involvement.

Please understand this, Reset’s success does not mean that we will not have problems going forward. I believe that Reset gave us the space to release negative emotions and free up space to accept something new! Just like the word’s meaning — many of you were able to open up, clean out and start again.

Going forward, it is vital that members of our church family feel that their concerns are heard. I encourage you not to hold on to negative emotions. Feel free to reach out to me or Pastor O. We are open and ready to hear from you.

Let’s keep moving ahead. I am so proud of my people here at The Park.

Your Pastor,
Dr. Sheron C. Patterson
